Decoration and functions in cast iron fountains
Five more types of fountain are added to the four types featured in part one of the monography on cast iron fountains, presented in the previous issue.
Column drinking fountains, with an infinite number of varieties, are the most widespread; moving then onto an analysis of the wheel, the goblet and the column fountain with light fixture intended for covering pipes or masks for water supply, vessels and statues, as well as providing light. The study is completed by a full summary of the veritable works of art that are monumental fountains.
