N°2 | 2000 MEMORY AND FUTURE
The restoration of historical pieces of cast iron street furniture
This is the third issue the magazine has dedicated to restoration. The description of the work done on posts in Dublin and in Bologna, and work that has returned squares in Bergamo and Vigevano to their former glory, add a new chapter in the story of the recovery of cast iron artefacts.
Giving back these pieces their everyday function, effectively illustrated by the images, gives the reader the possibility to create connections and distinctions of both a historical-geographical and aesthetical and functional nature; and look at important methodological issues.
